Cloud Data Engineer
Job Description
We’re searching for a talented Cloud Data Engineer to play a pivotal role in building and optimizing our data platform on either Google Cloud Platform (GCP) or Microsoft Azure. You’ll leverage your expertise in data processing, programming, and innovation to deploy functionalities and solutions that empower data-driven decision making across our organization.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and implement data platform projects, including data lakes, analytics pipelines, and more.
- Utilize your programming skills (Python, Java, or Scala) to build robust and scalable data solutions.
- Leverage your expertise in SQL (with BI knowledge) for data querying and analysis.
- Implement ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes using industry-standard tools.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure data projects meet business requirements.
- Document technical solutions effectively for future reference.
Skills & Experience
Functional/Technical
- At least 3 years of experience as a Data Engineer or similar role.
- Strong SQL skills and a solid understanding of BI concepts.
- Hands-on experience with one of the following data processing ecosystems: Hadoop, HIVE, BigQuery, Data Factory, or Synapse.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, or Scala.
- Experience with ETL processes and tools.
